Nazarene virtue: Promoting others

Promotion of others can be achieved by

●       Reaching out to others

●       Respecting them

●       Listening to them with an open heart.

The Holy Family of Nazaret have promoted each other to do God´s will.

When Jesus was young, it wasn’t safe for His family to stay in Judea. So Mary, Joseph, and Jesus left their home and went to Egypt. They were refugees. Jesus understood what it was like to not belong. He reached out to everyone, even when others wouldn’t. He healed lepers and ate with sinners, raised from the death of Lazarus, little girl and the son of a widow. He showed love to everyone. Jesus might have seen and learn from his earthly parents, reaching out to others when they are in need. Best example we have the wedding feast of Cana, how mother Mary reached out Jesus for others.

Jesus respected everyone even the pharisees who considered Jesus as an enemy. He when the house of pharisees, dinned with them. We forget that the majority of Jesus’ teaching came after reaching out to others, respecting them, and listening to the request or question of another person. We are also in the time of synodality. Let us reach out to others to know them, respect them, and listen through this each one will grow in integrity and peace.
