BROTHER GABRIEL´S LOVE FOR GOD

 If a human person loves another person, naturally that love causes the other person to wish to know him all the more. God is love and He expressed His love through His son Jesus Christ. Love for another is life giving. Bro. Gabriel experienced the Love of God from his childhood, through the loving parents and parish priest and more over he experienced the love of God in the Eucharist and meditating on the passion of our Lord. Bro. Gabriel showed this love for God through his mission. He always desired to experience the love of God by all his neighbors including children. He chose catechesis as a tool to prepare the life, a life in every aspect of the Christian life. Through catechesis, he helped the children to learn to know God personally in mind and heart level as possible. Bro. Gabriel even catechized the Brothers through his letters by mentioning them to live the spirit of simplicity and humility, loving the Brothers whom God put besides them, fraternal correction and mutual forgiveness etc... Fraternal love embraces all these attitudes.

LE TRAVAIL

 « Travaillez, prenez de la peine ».  « Le travail, mes amis, seul fait l’homme ».

Nous reconnaissons ici, des vers de poésie, récités à l’école primaire, pour ceux qui ont fréquenté dans les écoles du Burkina Faso, d’une certaine génération. Ces vers sont comme des marteaux qui invitent sans cesse au travail et à l’amour du travail. Avons-nous toujours le même entendement aujourd’hui ?

De tout temps, le travail a été reconnu comme libérateur. Des maîtres Spirituels aux Philosophes, tous reconnaissent dans le travail, des vertus que le Créateur a placées pour poursuivre l’œuvre créatrice qu’il a entreprise.

Ainsi, Saint Benoît, dans sa Règle stipulait : « Ora et Labor », qui se traduit par « Prie et travaille ». Comme quoi, le travail est au cœur de la Vie consacrée.

Plus près de nous, le Philosophe Eugène Enriquez, en 2013, dans la revue Psychosociologie, 2013/1 (n°15) Pages 253-272 écrit : « (…) le travail (….) est l’essence de l’homme ».

Ces propos viennent nous conforter dans notre amour pour le travail. Et comme Religieux engagés dans l’éducation, nous offrons à nos élèves, à nos collaborateurs, à la Grande Famille SAFA, le travail comme moyen de libération de l’homme dans sa situation. Elèves, seul le travail et le surtout le travail bien fait, nous procure le succès. La facilité, l’oisiveté, la paresse n’ont jamais rien donné qui vaille la peine.

Frère Gabriel TABORIN, depuis sa jeunesse, a fait du travail, un moyen pour s’affranchir et pour offrir à ses Frères, le nécessaire. Il a puisé cet amour du travail dans sa famille et surtout dans la Sainte Famille de Nazareth, où « l’on priait, l’on travaillait et l’on s’aimait ».

THE PEACE GOD GIVES US

 

What does PEACE mean?  Well, it does NOT mean to always be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.  It DOES mean to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. That means feeling the presence of God in the storm. We can be at peace when we have an intimate relationship with God and children of God. Mother Mary was at trouble at the greetings of Angel Gabriel. St. Joseph was worried to take Mary as his wife. But by saying “YES” to the plan of God, both of them were at peace. That PEACE gave great strength and courage to stand at the foot of the cross and able to strengthen the Apostles at the lost of their master.

NAZARET ES ESCUELA DE ORACIÓN

-          La oración es un estado permanente de apertura a Dios en lo ordinario de la vida tal como lo hicieron Jesús, María y José. En Nazaret la Sagrada Familia vive la oración y su apertura a Dios en la vida ordinaria Esto es una invitación a vivir en la presencia de Dios en todas partes y en todos los tiempos. Es necesaria la fidelidad a un ritmo de oración personal y comunitaria, pero hay que tender a la “oración del ser”, esa comunión constante que es comunicación con el Padre.

-      Nazaret como escuela de oración nos propone una espiritualidad propia de hombres y mujeres  que viven su humanidad de hijos de Dios profundamente responsables y encarnados a la vez que siempre referidos y agradecidos al Dios- Amor-Trinidad  que es fuente de toda vida.

-          Contemplación y acción, no una sin la otra: silencio, palabra justa, gesto oportuno… en una relación dialógica continua
